The Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Environmental Health plays a central role in advancing public health. Our environmental health faculty apply physics and chemistry to measure and assess environmental risks and their potential impact on humans and ecosystems. The epidemiology faculty study disease patterns in populations, while our biostatistics faculty use advanced mathematical methods to analyze data and draw insights critical to public health. Together, these disciplines address key global challenges such as climate change, pandemics, pollution, food insecurity, clean water, and sustainability.
The Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Environmental Health houses the BS Environmental Health degree and Undergraduate Certificate in Occupational Safety.
