Minor in Marine Engineering
The minor in marine engineering is open to all students with the exception of those students in the Mechanical Engineering Technology program who are specializing in Marine Systems. Students seeking the minor must satisfy all pre- or corequisite requirements for the courses selected. The minor is multidisciplinary and consists of four courses in topics that are relevant to the shipbuilding, maintenance, repair and maritime operations industries.

For completion of a minor, a student must have a minimum overall grade point average of 2.00 in all courses specified as a requirement for the minor exclusive of lower-level courses, prerequisites and corequisites and complete at least six hours of upper-level courses in the minor requirement through courses offered by Old Dominion University.
