Minor History Minor

The History minor requires an H-course (3 credit hours) and 12 hours of 300/400-level HIST electives, at least 6 of which must be taken at ODU. Only HIST courses fulfill these requirements.  At least six hours of upper-level courses must be taken through courses offered by Old Dominion University.

Specialization options include Race, Gender, and Religion; War, Revolution, and Society; Mobilities and Migrations; History of Science and Technology; and Maritime History.

For completion of a minor a student must have a minimum overall cumulative grade point average of 2.00 in all courses specified as a requirement for the minor exclusive of lower-level courses and prerequisite courses.
