A minor in environmental health requires a minimum of 12 semester hours of environmental health courses. The minor is designed to enhance the knowledge of students and help them understand the influences and impact of environmental factors on human health. Students majoring in environmental health are not eligible for this minor.

For completion of the minor, students must have a minimum overall cumulative grade point average of 2.00 in all courses specified as a requirement for the minor exclusive of prerequisite courses and complete a minimum of six hours in upper-level courses in the minor requirement through courses offered by Old Dominion University. Twelve semester hours of science courses are preferred. Students majoring in environmental health are not eligible for this minor.
