Doctor of Applied Science Kinesiology (DAS)
This unique applied science doctoral degree is designed for practitioners with a kinesiology-related master's degree or a clinical doctorate (e.g., DPT). The program focuses on applied skills in teaching, communication, and organizational leadership, preparing students to take on faculty roles or leadership positions in healthcare, education, and human performance.
Application Process
Applications will be reviewed in the Spring for Fall admission, beginning January 15. Students who plan to seek financial aid are advised to submit their applications as early as possible. Upon acceptance into the program, a $300 non-refundable matriculation fee (which will be credited towards the first semester's tuition) is required to secure class placement.
Admissions Requirements
- Previous degree: Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in a Kinesiology-related field and/or a clinical doctorate.
- Professional Experience: Applicants must have at least 3 years of full-time professional experience in a Kinesiology-related field.
- Transcripts: Transcript(s) should demonstrate a conferred Master’s degree and/or clinical doctorate before the start of the DAS program.
- Personal Statement: A personal statement that reflects the applicant’s background, interests, future plans, and decision for selecting the DAS degree.
- Two Letters of Recommendation: Two letters of recommendation from academic or workplace affiliations that reflect on an applicant’s behavior, character, and leadership ability.
